The College is one of a very few Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Colleges that aims to empower Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people to be leaders with the faith, vision and skills to be effective in building up their people, their churches and their communities. The College is a registered training organisation and a Not For Profit Company Limited by Guarantee. Majority of the College students travel to Cairns from Cape York, Torres Strait, NT, NSW, Urban and City places to participate in intensive teaching blocks. They are also supported with home-based studies in their local communities and the College also offers online learning to their students.
Wontulp-Bi-Buya College needs ongoing support as they train Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander women and men in the areas of Theology and Ministry, Indigenous Mental Health (Social and Emotional Wellbeing), Addictions Management and Community Development. It needs up to $100,000 annually to support its Mission and Vision. Please support the College in equipping Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander women and men to be Equipped, Empowered and to be Effective Positive role models in their homes and communities.
